This pigment supports vision, especially in low light conditions. High-dose vitamin A treatment has reduced childhood mortality.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Oncology<\/strong><br \/>Retinoic acid derivatives are being investigated as an adjunctive agent in the treatment of some types of cancer.\n<p><strong>Things to Consider During Use:<\/strong><br \/>Important points to consider when using vitamin A derivatives are the following:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dosage Control:<\/strong><br \/>Overdose can lead to toxicity (hypervitaminosis A). Symptoms include headache, bone pain and liver damage.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pregnancy<\/strong><br \/>Since retinoic acid has not yet been proven to have negative effects on fetal development, it is not recommended for use during pregnancy without the advice of a healthcare professional.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sun Sensitivity:<\/strong><br \/>Retinol-containing products may make the skin more sensitive to the sun; if it is planned to be used for skin health, it should be used together with sunscreen products.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Side Effects:<\/strong><br \/>Prolonged use in high doses or the use of synthetic Vitamin A derivatives may cause side effects such as dry skin, irritation and redness.
