Description

Magnesium bisglycinate is a formulation developed to increase the bioavailability of the mineral magnesium. In this formulation, magnesium ions bind with two molecules of glycine (an amino acid), making it more easily absorbed. This is preferred because it provides less digestive discomfort and higher bioavailability compared to other magnesium salts. Magnesium bisglycinate, as a form of magnesium supplements, has a gentle effect on the digestive system and is often preferred by people with stomach problems. Magnesium bound with glycine generally has less laxative effect and causes less irritation of the intestines.
